A Valentine’s Day villain stole 14 items of jewelry from a home on Colgate Avenue before 3:02 p.m. on Feb. 14, including a Tahitian Pearl necklace, Tiffany & Co. 18k Gold Lapis earrings, South Sea Pearl earrings, and 18k Rose Gold Mother of Pearl earrings.

10 Monday
A joyrider stole a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 from the 4400 block of Purdue Street at about 8:41 a.m.
A brazen burglar broke into a 2021 Land Rover in the CVS parking lot on Preston Road at about 3:04 p.m. and stole a Chanel shopping bag.
A looter broke into a locked 2023 GMC pickup at about 5:57 p.m. on Preston Road, and stole a backpack, Dell laptop, suitcase, clothing, makeup, a hairbrush, and personal hygiene products.

A craven criminal broke into a car in the New York Sub parking lot on Asbury Avenue and stole a hiking backpack and MacBook Pro.
A crook stole a briefcase, reMarkable device, and iPad from a 2021 GMC on Mockingbird Lane at about 3:32 p.m.
A poacher who may have wanted to root on the Ponies stole an SMU hat, $60, and an Apple Watch charger from a 2022 Infiniti QX on Mockingbird Parkway at about 3:48 p.m.
Reported at 8:35 p.m.: A 31-year-old woman was arrested in DeSoto on a University Park warrant.

A cold-hearted crook stole a Loft ladies sweater from a home on Stanford Avenue before 8:13 a.m.
A porch pirate’s character took a hit after they stole packages containing the book Understanding the Golf Swing, and The Body Pod from a home on Stanford Avenue at about 3:56 p.m.
A driver failed to comply with their duty after striking an unoccupied vehicle on Hyer Avenue at about 7:28 p.m.

A thief stole property worth $37,000 in the 3200 block of Wentwood Drive at about 5 p.m.

A 20-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence as a minor and on a warrant on SMU Boulevard at about 2:20 a.m.
A greedy thief stole an iPad and laptop from an unlocked 2022 Chevy Tahoe on Preston Road at about 6:03 p.m.

A thief with expensive tastes stole jewelry and jewelry boxes worth between $2,500 and $30,000 from a home on Lovers Lane at about 11:05 a.m.
A hungry hustler stole food and a beverage from Hillstone in the 8300 block of Preston Road at about 4:58 p.m.

A burglar broke a back window of a 2024 Audi Q8 in The Plaza at Preston Center at about 2:51 p.m. to steal a Saint Laurent blazer, scarf, and cross body purse.

10 Monday
A 43-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and on a warrant at about 12:43 a.m. in the 5500 block of Auburndale Avenue.
Officers arrested a 21-year-old man on a warrant at about 3:11 p.m. in the 4200 block of Fairfax Avenue.

A 39-year-old man was arrested on multiple warrants at about 3:03 a.m. in the 4200 block of Mockingbird Lane.
A porch pirate stole a package containing two lantern-style light fixtures at about 4:56 a.m. from a home in the 3500 block of Potomac Avenue.
A 43-year-old woman was arrested for resisting arrest, burglary of a vehicle, public intoxication, and assaulting a peace officer at about 8 a.m. in the 4200 block of Mockingbird Lane.
A 23-year-old man was arrested for failing to identify himself or giving fictitious information at about 4:38 p.m. in the 5500 block of Preston Road.
A sneaky thief scooted off with a Gyroshoes Electric Scooter from a garage in the 4200 block of Lomo Alto Drive before 8 p.m.

A 19-year-old man was arrested for having a prohibited weapon at about 7:59 p.m. in the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue.

Nimble-fingered thieves who moved and recounted money at Whole Foods in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive at about 6:25 p.m. distracted the cashier and didn’t pay for $1,000 in Saks Fifth Avenue gift cards.
The distracted driver of a 2016 Acura MDX struck two parked cars and damaged the curb in the 4500 block of Belclaire Avenue at about 11:05 p.m. while she was sending a text message on her phone.

A two-wheeler thief stole a Phantom A10 Smart Electric Scooter from the bike rack of a parking garage in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive at about 5:23 a.m.

A confused cruiser drove the wrong way in a parking lot in the 4200 block of Mockingbird Lane before 2:30 p.m., tried to back out of the lot, hit a Ford Ranger, and took off without leaving information.
Reported at 3:51 p.m.: A Pedego electric bicycle was stolen from a garage in the 4200 block of Lomo Alto Drive.

A 32-year-old woman was arrested on multiple warrants at about 1:43 a.m. in the 4200 block of Lorraine Avenue.
A brazen burglar stole three swimsuits, a Lego set, and magnifying eyeglasses used to perform surgery from a 2018 Toyota RAV4 before 11:40 p.m. in the 3100 block of Drexel Drive.
