Lee Powers HP Lifters at Berkner Meet
Isaiah Lee was the standout during an otherwise strong performance for the Highland Park powerlifting team at a recent meet at Richardson Berkner.
Lee earned a gold medal in his weight division, while the Scots set personal bests in 20 of 29 attempts. Other lifters for HP included Colton Hammel, Matthew White, Bobby Kennedy, Harrison Shaw, Thomas Cook, Luke Swaner, Hatcher Phillips, and Henry Peterson.
In girls action, HP’s Ellie Levy, Finlea Beitsch, and K.J. Boudry all took first place in their respective divisions, with Boudry named the meet’s top lightweight lifter. Maxine Jordanoff and Mackie Beitsch came away with silver medals for the Lady Scots.
