HP Cheerleaders Win National Championship Title
Highland Park High School’s junior varsity cheerleaders brought home a first place win at the National Cheerleaders Association High School Nationals in Dallas from Jan. 24-26.
In addition to capturing the national title in the Intermediate JV/Freshmen Crowd Leading division, the cheerleaders also won “Best Use of Stunts,” a specialty award given by the judges.
The cheer team, which was in third place after the preliminary competition, came from behind to win the championship in the competition’s final round.
