Scheffler Scores at Neighborhood Event
Scottie Scheffler put aside his golf clubs for events across several sports on Sunday at the Behind Every Door Olympic Games.
The fundraiser at Cedar Crest Community Center in Oak Cliff was designed to foster empowerment and camaraderie in the neighborhood through teamwork and sportsmanship, with proceeds benefiting faith-based nonprofit Behind Every Door.
Scheffler, a former Highland Park standout and the top-ranked golfer in the world, participated as a golf ambassador for Veritex Bank, which sponsored the festivities.
He was joined in overseeing various track and field events, team sports, and family-friendly games by members of sports-comedy group Dude Perfect and former Dallas Mavericks coach Avery Johnson.
