My TV career brought me to Dallas a little more than twenty years ago and my husband, Xan and I have loved raising our children, McCall, 15 and Alexander, 11 in this great community! Through NBC, my family became involved in the Salvation Army’s efforts to help those in need in North Texas and I loved serving on the advisory board for many years. My career has also given me the opportunity to get to know non-profits through my emcee work.

Is this your first time to be recognized at the 10 Best Dressed Annual Fashion Show and luncheon? If not, how many times have you received this recognition?

This is my third year as an honoree.

What charities are you currently supporting and why?

I am co-chair of the National Advisory Board for the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health. Medicine has long been tailored toward men, from research to prescription drugs. We are raising funds and awareness to break the gender bias because we all know that X does not equal Y!

Do you have past charitable involvement that you would like to highlight?

I’ve also served on the Salvation Army’s board here locally and it is near and dear to my heart.
