Lisa Rocchio

The two-time honoree and her husband, John, moved to Dallas 12 years ago with their three children, Jack, Will, and Sarah. In addition to the Crystal Charity Ball, Lisa has been involved with New Friends New Life, and the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Health, where she started a mahjong fundraiser that has tripled in size and proceeds raised and become a recurring event since its founding. She and her husband also support other Dallas charities, including Teach for America and the Salvation Army.

Tell us about yourself, your work, your family, and your connection to the Dallas community. 

My husband John and I moved to Dallas about 12 years ago from Los Angeles with our children, Jack, Will and Sarah.  The boys graduated from St. Mark’s and Sarah attended boarding school in CT.  We found the Dallas community to be very welcoming and engaging. John and I have enjoyed being involved in many different non-profit organizations. 

Is this your first time to be recognized at the 10 Best Dressed Annual Fashion Show and luncheon? If not, how many times have you received this recognition? 

This will be my second year to be recognized at the Best Dressed Luncheon. 

What charities are you currently supporting and why?  

Aside from the Crystal Charity Ball, I have been involved in various other local non-profits, including g the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Health and New Friends New Life.  

Lisa and John also support other charities in Dallas such as Teach for America and The Salvation Army. 

Do you have past charitable involvement that you would like to highlight? 

I started a Mahjong Fundraiser for the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Health that was fun and also raised money for the hospital. This event has become an annual fundraiser that has grown in both size and proceeds raised! 

What are you most excited for in regards to Dallas philanthropy in 2024-2025? 

I am looking forward to chairing the annual luncheon for New Friends New Life on September 20th.  Matthew and Camilla McConaughey are our featured speakers.  It is important to raise awareness of the issue of sex trafficking in Dallas as well as highlight the important work New Friends New Life does with the victims of this horrible crime. 

What is your favorite eatery to get dressed up for? 

We love Le Bilboquet for both casual and celebratory occasions!
