Tell us about yourself, your work, your family, and your connection to the Dallas community.

I am the CEO of my family’s foundation, founded by my grandparents in honor of my aunt who had special needs. They wanted to honor her memory and leave a lasting legacy to help improve the lives of children, animals, and the special needs community. My family instilled the principles in us at an early age that to whom much is given, much is expected. Whether it be through time, talent, or treasure, there are many opportunities to find your passion and support causes close to your heart to support.

Is this your first time to be recognized at the 10 Best Dressed Annual Fashion Show and luncheon? If not, how many times have you received this recognition?

This is my first time receiving this honor.

What charities are you currently supporting and why?

We are so fortunate to live in a charitable city like Dallas. There are so many worthy and important groups who do such monumental work. A few of my favorites include The Crystal Charity Ball and its beneficiaries, Equest. After School All Stars, The Forefront Living Foundation, The Salvation Army, and Camp John Marc.

Do you have past charitable involvement that you would like to highlight?

I have had many positive and inspiring experiences with charities in Dallas- it would be too difficult to highlight one and not all of them!

What are you most excited for in regards to Dallas philanthropy in 2024-2025?

Dallas philanthropy is so impressive. We live in a community that is so charitable, generous, and innovative. It brings me great joy to see people coming together to make a tangible impact on the lives of those who need help. It would be wonderful to live in a society where children did not go hungry, and all diseases could be treated and cured. But until then, we will collectively work to make changes that benefit everyone.

What is your favorite eatery to get dressed up for? There are so many fabulous places to choose from!

My go-to is Café Pacific.

What cosmetic is always in your purse?

I am a chapstick and lip gloss gal!! My current obsession is lipstick by Carolina Herrera. They have the most darling shades and colorful caps- run don’t walk to buy the Good Girl Mini Tint!

What fashion statement this year do you dislike, and why?

I cannot pull off the trend of sheer clothing. Whenever I see a lovely sheer dress, I just hear my grandmother’s voice in the back of head telling me to cover up, dear!

What is your fashion motto?

I love the quote by Anne Klein, “Clothes aren’t going to change the world. The women who wear them will.”
