Seeing Doubles: Scots Earn 7-6A Titles
Highland Park won all three doubles brackets at the recent District 7-6A tennis tournament at the Seay Tennis Center. The Scots will send nine athletes to the 6A Region I tournament on May 8-9 in McKinney.
Winning tandems for HP include Alex Lajous and Pierce Collard (boys doubles), Gigi Patterson and Ellie Sullivan (girls doubles), and Caleb Benson and Briana Rees (mixed doubles).
Benson and Rees defeated teammates Brady Lin and Erica Zeitman for the district title, with the runners-up also qualifying for regionals. Avery Ryan advanced by placing second in the girls singles division.
