Lady Scots Keep Eye on Softball Playoffs
Despite enduring back-to-back losses for the first time in the District 7-6A softball schedule, Highland Park is still in solid position to earn a playoff spot.
The Lady Scots (10-14, 5-4) fell to Lake Highlands 17-5 on Tuesday and have allowed 38 runs in their last three games combined. However, as the regular season enters the home stretch, HP is still poised to earn one of the league’s four postseason bids.
Plus, HP has continued to showcase its offensive firepower, as the team closes in on 200 runs this season. The Lady Scots will look to snap their skid on Friday at last-place Irving MacArthur, followed by a pivotal home game on April 9 against Irving Nimitz.
