Lady Scots Come Out Swinging in Opener
Highland Park’s bats appeared to be in midseason form during a 9-4 win over Grand Prairie in the softball season opener on Tuesday.
Faith Horner had a double and a triple as part of a 10-hit attack for the Lady Scots (1-0). Kathryn Joiner, Anna Higgins, and Ava Marie Price also connected for extra bases.
HP will compete in the Frisco ISD tournament this weekend. Opponents during the three-day event will include Frisco Emerson, Frisco Memorial, Coppell, and Frisco Reedy. The Lady Scots will return home on Feb. 20 to face Skyline.
