HP Archery Club Hosts Inaugural Tourney
After experiencing tremendous growth during its first two years, the Highland Park archery club program is ready to host its biggest event.
The inaugural Highland Park Scholarship Tournament is slated for Friday and Saturday at Highland Park Middle School, welcoming teams from schools throughout North Texas in various high school and middle school divisions.
The event will award $1,000 scholarships for the top archers (one male, one female), and also will serve as a qualifier for the Texas NASP state tournament on March 26-27 in Belton.
The action gets underway at 3 p.m. Friday, with the Scots scheduled to shoot around 5 p.m. The tournament also will feature archers from Allen, Bishop Dunne, Kennedale, Prosper, South Grand Prairie, and more.
