Out & About: Porsche Dallas Anniversary Party
Park Place Porsche Dallas celebrated Porsche’s 75th anniversary with displays of models like the vintage Porsche 365 and their modern sports cars June 10.
“It was wonderful to celebrate the heritage of Porsche with so many enthusiast at Park Place,” Park Place Dealerships managing director Tony Carimi said. “I imagine Ferry Porsche would have loved the sea of spectacular Porsches in a rainbow of colors and styles and listening to guests recounting stories about their shared passion.”
Nearly 500 people came to honor Porsche and its legacy and to support Park Place and the community.
“I was great to see so many of our friends gather to help us celebrate our love for everything Porsche,” Porsche Dallas general manger Patrick Huston said.
The party also included a raffle, which supported the Cattle Baron’s Ball in their efforts to fight cancer.
Artist Hatziel Flores created a live painting of a Porsche 911, which was auctioned off to Justin M. Ramirez to benefit the American Cancer Society.
Food and drinks came from Original ChopShop, Cheddr Wheel food truck, Frios, Lakewood Brewing, Herradura, and Woodford Reserve.
Inside, people relaxed in the deBoulle Lounge, while others watched the Le Mans race in a special viewing area. “Lip readings” were also popular throughout the event, where guests would apply lipstick, press their lips against a white card, then a “Lipsologist” would analyze the lines and shapes of the lip prints to reveal personal traits.
