Out & About: Dallas Round House Party
The newest owners of the 1962 Dallas Round House, Lisa and Selim Burduroglu, threw a party to honor the home’s architectural vision and support working artists June 17.
Introducing 86 guests to the Eddie Parker designed home, they were provided food and drinks for the night.
Among the food was edible art, supplied by party sponsors Fat Rabbit Provisions, Eataly, Nova, Rosewood Ranches, and Central Market who themed it after Clark Hulings still life, “The Venetian Cavalier.”
Supporting the artists that night was the Clark Hulings Foundation, whose goal is to help sustain creativity and self-empowered, working artists.
Guests were introduced to a silent art auction, as well, with the assistance of CHF. They had the opportunity to bring home works from artists like John Flaming and Olga von Leuchtenberg, as well as fine arts pens by Jeff Kralich and botanical arrangements by Urban Spikes.
Even those who didn’t partake in the auction were sent home with a piece of art, a complimentary gifted tea towel themed by Clark Hulings dinner still life.
Afterward, CHF co-founder and Executive Director, Elizabeth Hulings said she was happy that the foundation was able to be a part of the Round House’s story.
“We are thrilled to be back on the ground in Dallas with members of the art and design community at the Burduroglu’s spectacular home,” she said. “With more support like this, we look forward to offering more programming here soon.”
