SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: TREE TRIBULATION

Watch out for the tree: a branch fell on a Ford Edge parked in the 4500 block of Lorraine Avenue at 3:43 p.m., damaging the front passenger door.

22 Monday

Arrested at 1:34 a.m.: a 25-year-old man accused of driving while intoxicated in the 4200 block of Livingston Avenue

23 Tuesday

Officers recovered a GMC Yukon that’d been reported stolen in the 4700 block of Lakeside Drive at 10:55 a.m.

Reported at 5:44 p.m.: a fraudster used the bank information of a woman from the 4400 block of S. Versailles Avenue to make $4,147 in fraudulent charges.

25 Thursday

Arrested at 12:58 a.m.: a 19-year-old man accused of possession of drug paraphernalia, manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance, and unlawfully carrying a weapon in the 4100 block of Mockingbird Lane.

26 Friday

A burglar got into a garage in the 4500 block of Rheims Place and took a $3,000 Gucci purse, a Dewalt drill and a Dewalt air compressor from inside before 2:10 a.m.

A porch pirate pilfered packages containing an AppleTV, a shirt, a pair of shoes, and AC filters from a home in the 4600 block of Southern Avenue at 9 a.m.

Arrested at 9:02 p.m.: a 40-year-old man accused of public intoxication in Highland Park Village

Arrested at 10:45 p.m.: a 26-year-old man for probation violation in the 4200 block of Mockingbird Lane

27 Saturday 

Arrested at 12:05 a.m.: a 42-year-old man accused of public intoxication in the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue

28 Sunday 

Arrested at 4:50 a.m.: a 51-year-old man accused of public intoxication in the 4800 block of Preston Road

A thief made off with catalytic converters from a Toyota Sequoia parked in the 3500 block of Harvard Avenue before 8 a.m.

Shoplifters stole a $5,300 purse from the Dior store in Highland Park Village at 4:48 p.m.

29 Monday

Reported at 12:10 a.m.: a lost Van Cleef and Arpels broach from the 3800 block of Miramar Avenue

Arrested at 2:11 a.m.: a 28-year-old man accused of driving while intoxicated in the 5400 block of Auburndale Avenue

Arrested at 6:30 a.m.: a 28-year-old woman accused of driving while intoxicated in the 5300 block of Preston Road.

Reported at 1:28 p.m.: a burglar found easy pickings of an unlocked GMC Canyon parked in the 4500 block of Fairway Avenue and took $3 from inside.

Reported at 12:32 p.m.: a thief took stuff from a Land Rover parked in the 4000 block of Villanova Drive.

23 Tuesday

Arrested at 1:12 a.m.: a 21-year-old man accused of driving while intoxicated in the 4200 block of Emerson Avenue. 

A burglar made off with $500, credit/debit cards, sunglasses, and more from a Bentley Continental parked in the 8300 block of Preston Road before 1:10 p.m.

24 Wednesday

A fraudster took documents, $18,750 worth of jewelry, $5,000 in cash, and more from a man from the 6200 block of St. Andrews Drive at 12:52 p.m.

A thief found easy pickings of a Louis Vuitton bag, $300, $20,000 worth of jewelry, an Apple device, and more left in an unlocked Range Rover parked in the 3500 block of Granada Avenue at 3:13 p.m.

A porch pirate picked up a Cannondale bicycle from a home in the 3300 block of Wentwood Drive before 3:15 p.m. 

25 Thursday

A burglar broke into a Ford F150 parked in the 2800 block of Dyer Street via a backseat window and took a firearm before 3 a.m.

A mischief maker broke a window of a Mercedes GLA in the 2800 block of Dyer Street before 7 a.m. 

A burglar got into a Chevrolet Tahoe in the 3400 block of Wentwood Drive and took a firearm, a bag, and a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses at 9:21 a.m.

A crook took a catalytic converter from a Nissan parked in the 3000 block of Mockingbird Lane before 11 a.m. 

26 Friday

Reported at 9:15 a.m.: a scammer used the information of a man from the 3400 block of Granada Avenue to open an account.

Reported at 2:04 p.m.: a thief made off with a wallet from a restaurant in the 8300 block of Preston Center Plaza

27 Saturday

A crook busted a window of a Mercedes in the 2900 block of Fondren Drive before 5 a.m.

A mischief maker got into a Hyundai Tucson in the 3300 block of Rankin Avenue and damaged it before 7 a.m.
