Hockaday Athletes Finalize Commitments
Fifteen Hockaday seniors across nine sports were honored for their college commitments during a recent ceremony at the school.
Lauren Ingram will play volleyball at Duke after earning honorable mention all-America accolades this season. Nationally recognized lacrosse standout Lauren Roach will play next year at Louisville, while teammate Josie Sinwell is heading to William & Mary.
College-bound players from the SPC champion Hockaday soccer team include Ambyr Baker (Villanova), Ayla Sumer (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), and Alexandra Weinmeister (Washington University in St. Louis).
Ivy League commitments included softball player Maia Hartley (Pennsylvania), track sprinter Lola Isom (Yale), and lacrosse player Grace Hoverman (Columbia).
The Hockaday rowing program has three athletes who will compete next year at the college level — Sophia Clavenna (Williams), Savannah Frederiksen (Tufts), and Victoria Pereira (Wesleyan).
Meanwhile, standout fencer Victoria Li will head to Johns Hopkins, swimmer Mary Grace Martin is committed to Claremont McKenna, and hockey player Ellie Abel will skate at Union College.
