Ursuline Athletes Preparing for College
A dozen Ursuline seniors finalized their commitments to college athletic programs this month, highlighted by soccer player Caroline Staubach signing with Baylor.
Staubach, a striker who is recovering from her third knee surgery, takes to heart some advice from her skills coach as she prepares to head to Waco next season: “Just keep doing the little things and keep that discipline. The little things add up and make a difference.”
“I remind myself of that saying every day,” Staubach said. “The small things you do behind the scenes is where the real work is.”
Joining her at a National Signing Day ceremony at the school on Feb. 10 were teammates Kate Ryan (Dartmouth) and Brook Hatzmann (Benedictine).
Other signees include rowers Anna Kahl (Notre Dame), Ruby Farley (Oklahoma), Angelina Hassan (Central Florida), Claire Chesnut (Colgate) and Laurel Grein (Embry-Riddle), along with lacrosse players Reese Ryland (Louisville), Tess Hovivian (Rollins), and Lauren Peck (Dickinson).
Meanwhile, pole vault specialist Taylor Radack signed to compete with the track and field program at Northeastern University in Boston.
