Blue Wave Tops Lovejoy in 7-6A Tuneup
In its final dual meet of the swimming season, Highland Park swept Lovejoy on Tuesday behind several strong individual swims.
Three HP girls won two individual gold medals — Max McAllister (200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke), Campbell Schultz (200 freestyle and 500 freestyle), and Angelina Huang (100 butterfly and 100 backstroke).
On the boys side, event winners for the Blue Wave included G.B. Stalnaker (200 freestyle and 500 freestyle), Luka Zivaljevic (100 freestyle), and Ruihan Zhu (200 IM).
Next up, HP will compete in the District 7-6A meet on Jan. 27 at Jesuit Dallas, where the top performers will advance to the Class 6A Region I competition the following week in Lewisville.
