Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Celebrates Ninth ‘Fashion Notes’
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League held its annual “Fashion Notes” luncheon and style show Oct. 13.
The event, which took place in the new Virgin Hotels Dallas and was chaired by Sharon Lee Clark and Kira Nasrat, highlighted fashion design and the Dallas Symphony community.
“We are delighted to celebrate elegantly bold fashion and timeless music in this incredible new venue,” DSOL president Cynthia Beaird said.
The event started with a morning reception and raffle followed by a fashion presentation and luncheon live auction. Beaird introduced the honorary chairs, mother-daughter duo Janie Donosky Condon and Patsy Donosky, who are longtime supporters of the Dallas Symphony and well known throughout the Dallas arts community.
The featured Fashion Designer Award went to Lele Sadoughi, who started the decorated headband craze. Fashions from St. John were modeled on the runway by league members and their families, past and present DSOL debutantes, and members of the DSO family.
Event proceeds benefit the Dallas Symphony Association’s Education and Outreach programs, including Young Strings and Young Musicians, which provide free instruments and music lessons to children in Dallas.
