White Rock Lake Foundation to Hold Inaugural Gala

The White Rock Lake Foundation is holding its inaugural event, The Jewel of Dallas Gala, Oct. 13 at the Granada Theater.

WRLF is a 501(c)(3) foundation devoted to presenting the case for the maintenance and improvement of White Rock Lake, which is also known as The Jewel of Dallas.

The event will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. and will consist of celebration, fundraising, and entertainment.

“We can’t wait to kick off our inaugural event and celebrate with friends, colleagues, family, and, most of all, our community,” said Joe Kidwell, board president of the White Rock Lake Foundation. “It truly takes a village to restore and help preserve what we love. If the support we have received thus far from all of our loyal sponsors is any indication of what we have to look forward to in a few weeks, get ready for a night to remember.”

The evening will open with music from Ricki Derek and his 15-piece band. After working up an appetite on the dance floor, guests can get food from food stations representing six East Dallas restaurants: Môt Hai Ba, Sfuzzi, Cry Wolf, Sundown at Granada, Meridian in The Village, and LORO.

Tickets can be purchased online for $110 each. Those interested in also attending the VIP cocktail hour an hour before the start time can purchase a VIP event ticket for $250.
