Lady Scots Blank Hockaday JV in Opener
As it strives to be more competitive against some tough private-school competition in field hockey, Highland Park’s season opener was a good start.
The Lady Scots earned a 1-0 victory over the Hockaday junior varsity team on Aug. 18. It was the first of 10 games this season for HP, which is the only public-school varsity program in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The Lady Scots will return to action on Sept. 8 against Arlington Oakridge. The slate also includes multiple matchups against Episcopal School of Dallas, Parish Episcopal, and Fort Worth Country Day in the next two months.
