Kips Bay Show House Work May Resume; Special Event Permission Still an Issue
The Kips Bay Decorator Show House now has a permit to continue construction, said Andres Espinoza, director/chief building official for the city of Dallas.
He also confirmed that the homeowners did not have a permit prior to starting construction, which is why a “stop work order” was placed on the property.

The show house is still not supported by the current zoning, Espinoza said; however, the Development Services Department which Espinoza works for does not issue special event permits. People Newspapers hasn’t heard back from the city’s special events or attorney offices to get more information.
