SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: SHOPLIFTER SHOWDOWN
A shoplifter stole merchandise from Preston Royal Village and bypassed multiple registers before exiting the store before 2:23 p.m. July 17.
11 Monday
Property was stolen from a man in a home in the 4300 block of Southcrest Road at an undisclosed time.
Damaged and stolen before 1:23 p.m.: a man’s property in the 6500 block of Dykes Way.
A robber stole from a store in Preston Forest Shopping Center and placed the staff in fear of harm before 6:43 p.m.
Before 8:54 a.m., an unknown driver ran into a woman’s car, damaged it, and left the scene in the 8500 block of Lemmon Avenue.
A burglar took a woman’s car from outside of a home in the 4300 block of Taos Road before 6:41 a.m.
Abandoned property was found before 5:25 a.m. in the 4700 block of W. Northwest Highway.
Stolen before 1:52 p.m.: a man’s vehicle from NorthPark Center.
A burglar tried to use a crowbar to let themselves into NorthPark Center before 10:26 p.m.
A sneaky shoplifter took merchandise from a store in NorthPark Center and got a criminal trespass warning before 2:19 p.m.
Stolen before 7:10 p.m.: someone’s property at NorthPark Center. The thief also got a criminal trespass warning.
12 Tuesday
Before 12:21 a.m., a man’s car window was shattered, then his bag was stolen out of it at Black Swan Yoga on Lovers Lane.
A home’s rear patio door was left unsecured at 1:34 a.m. in the 30 block of Downs Lake Circle.
Lost property was found in the 11200 block of Inwood Road at 9:22 a.m.
A crook stole a vehicle before 7:51 p.m. from NorthPark Center.
A man’s catalytic converter was stolen off his car before 10:01 a.m. at NorthPark Center.
13 Wednesday
Someone entered a man’s unlocked door and took property from his home before 6:40 p.m. in the 6400 block of Aberdeen Avenue.
A thief stole from a man at Pavilion on Lovers Lane at an undisclosed time.
Stolen before 8:37 p.m.: a woman’s property from the restroom at NorthPark Center.
A shoplifter stole from NorthPark Center before 8:24 p.m.
14 Thursday
Before 8:12 a.m., a suspect held a knife to a woman’s throat and threatened to kill her at Lovers Seafood & Market.
A thief took a quickie saw from a truck in the 4400 block of Sexton Lane before 3:39 p.m.
Stolen before 3:12 p.m.: property from a man’s unlocked car in the 4800 block of Twin Post Road.
Before 4:31 p.m., property was found in the 6100 block of Forest Lane.
A man was assaulted at an undisclosed time at The Bluffs at Midway Hollow.
A thief ran from uniformed officers trying to detain him for stealing from multiple stores at NorthPark Center before 8:26 p.m. The suspect was also in possession of a pipe commonly used for drugs and received a criminal trespass warning.
A woman lost her cell phone before 9:58 p.m. at NorthPark Center.

A burglar stole from a woman’s car in the parking lot of Tom Thumb on Preston Road.
A home in the 5600 block of Hanover Avenue was left unlocked before 8:04 a.m.
16 Saturday
Before 4:38 p.m., a woman reported that a Walmart employee took her property while completing a repair in the Walmart in the 4100 block of Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway.
A reckless driver intentionally collided into a man’s vehicle multiple times before 9:27 p.m. in the 6800 block of Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway.
A woman’s property was stolen from The Bluffs at Midway Hollow before 1 p.m.
17 Sunday
A woman’s purse was stolen from her vehicle in the parking lot of Tom Thumb at 11920 Preston Road.
