Levine Academy Earns ISAS Accreditation

Ann & Nate Levine Academy recently earned membership in the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest.

The school, the only non-Orthodox Jewish day school in Dallas with an over 400 student population from preschool to eighth grade, received unanimous approval for membership at the annual ISAS Heads Conference in New Mexico in early June.

ISAS is the southwest’s leading independent school association made up of 97 private schools across the region, including Greenhill, St. Mark’s, Hockaday, and other campuses.

“The access to expertise, the partnerships, the quality assurance, and the reputation that ISAS membership means will be highly beneficial to our students and our teachers,” head of school Tom Elieff said. “The ready access and collaborative opportunities with a prestigious line-up of ISAS sister schools in Dallas and beyond will broaden the experiences of our students and will elevate the professional dialogue with our teachers.”

Levine has been working toward this accreditation for five years by meeting the following requirements:

  • Completion of the Document of Adherence to Standards
  • Compiled a 120-page self study report of the school’s programs and operations
  • Hosted a 14-member ISAS visiting team in November who assessed the campus and its practices
  • Accomplished 100% compliance on all standards for its submission to the ISAS board in February 2022

“Congratulations to you, the Board of Trustees, faculty, administration, staff, students, and parents on this achievement that is a result of comprehensive, inclusive, and commendable work,” ISAS executive director Scott Griggs told Elieff during his remarks regarding the accreditation.
