SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: TRIPLE THREAT
Three catalytic converters were reported stolen within an hour of each other at NorthPark Center July 9: a man’s at 2:42 p.m., another man’s at 3:07 p.m., and a woman’s at 3:32 p.m.
4 Monday
The Preston Royal Branch Library was reported as an open building before 10:13 a.m.
A woman lost her property before 12:08 p.m. at the Central Market on Preston Road.
A thief stole from a man before 3:58 p.m. at NorthPark Center.
Before 4:28 p.m., someone in a 9100 block of Devonshire Drive home asked police to confiscate pistols and put them in the Dallas Police Property Room.
Damaged before 4:47 p.m.: a woman’s vehicle in the NorthPark Center parking lot.
Someone stole from a man at Westminster Presbyterian Church at an undisclosed time.
5 Tuesday
Before 4:56 p.m., a burglar broke a man’s car window and took his property in the parking lot of NorthPark Center. The thief also tried to steal the vehicle but broke the steering column.
Someone took property without permission at a retail store in NorthPark Center before 8:41 p.m.
At an unknown time, a shoplifter stole from a retail store in NorthPark Center.
Someone stole stuff from a man at Preston Royal Village at an undisclosed time.
6 Wednesday
A man’s vehicle was stolen from the Northwest Bible Church parking lot before 6:50 a.m.
Before 8:16 a.m., a burglar broke a window, entered a residence, and stole property from a man and woman in the 4200 block of Shorecrest Drive.
Someone hit another person’s car, damaged it, and fled the scene before 12:58 p.m. at the Starbucks at 11919 Preston Road.
Before 1:03 p.m., a woman was hit by a vehicle causing injury at Hillcrest and W. Northwest Highway.
A man’s vehicle was stolen before 3:26 p.m. from NorthPark Center.
Not-so-sneaky scammers tried to defraud an elderly man in the 7000 block of Prestonshire Lane of $2.5 million before 8:27 p.m.
Burglarized before 9:02 p.m.: property from a man’s vehicle in the parking lot of NorthPark Center.
A man fell and injured his head in the 7200 block of Joyce Way before 9:37 p.m.
A man returned to his car in the 7100 block of Lakehurst Lane to find damage without a note or any information before 10:01 p.m.

A robber held a man at knife point and stole his car before 7:09 a.m. in the 6300 block of LBJ Freeway.
A man’s vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of Bluffs at Midway Hollow before 9:09 a.m. Not too long after, a woman’s vehicle was stolen from the same parking lot before 9:48 a.m.
A burglar smashed a man’s window and took cash before 11:23 a.m. at Preston Forest Shopping Center.

Someone entered a man’s unlocked vehicle and stole his handgun before 8:23 p.m. at NorthPark Center.
