Eric Nadel’s Birthday Benefit Raises $100,000 For Grant Halliburton Foundation

Announcer for the Texas Rangers baseball team, Eric Nadel, celebrated turning 70 on June 2, 2022. For the 10th year, Nadel spent his birthday helping others by turning his birthday party into a benefit for the Grant Halliburton Foundation’s Thrive Program.

The Grant Halliburton Foundation was created in memory of a 19-year-old boy from Dallas that committed suicide in 2006 after suffering from depression and bipolar disorder. The foundation helps with mental illness education and outreach programs to train and support over 250,000 students, parents, and teachers. The Thrive Program was introduced by Kevin Hall, the current president of the foundation, and is used mostly in schools to support students struggling with mental health issues.

Eric Nadel’s party raised over $100,000 for the foundation through live and silent auctions, sponsors, and music performers. The performers were Daphne Willis and America’s Got Talent runner-up, Cas Haley. All in all, it was a successful night that impacted those in attendance as well as all teens struggling with mental health issues.
