Drabinski Honored, Moody Family Y Gets $25,000 Grant
Daniel Drabinski has received MassMutual Foundation’s 2022 Platinum Community Service Award for his volunteer work with the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas.
The honor comes with a $25,000 grant to the Y, making it the highest of three yearly awards given by the foundation.
Y staff and board members posed with a check on June 21.
“The award is given based on the work the Y is doing, but a huge part of the eligibility and award level is the involvement of their staff person with that organization,” said Nick Echtenkamp, Moody Family YMCA executive director.
“We have received smaller grants in the past, but this year we really focused on Dan’s efforts in recruiting new board members and campaigners over the last several years and were able to show how that work has expanded the reach of the Moody Y and allowed us to do so much more mission work.”
