Medical City Dallas Ranks First in Cardiac Surgery in Texas

Medical City Dallas and Medical City Heart Hospital are ranked first in Texas for adult cardiac surgery, named by Healthgrades, an online resource with information about hospitals, physicians, and health care providers.

To land on this ranking, Healthgrades looked into clinical performances for almost 4,500 hospitals across the country, examining eight specialties across chronic, urgent, and planned clinical areas. Recognized hospitals are known for their outcomes for patients and quality information to support consumers in decision-making processes and finding the best care.

“To earn this ranking is a great accomplishment with an incredible source of pride for Medical City Dallas and Medical City Heart Hospital, which deliver outstanding, compassionate care to the communities we serve,” Medical City Dallas CEO Chris Mowan said.

The location’s heart and vascular programs include complex vascular and heart surgery, advanced heart failure treatment, structural heart, minimally invasive vascular surgery, and other specialized forms of care. The hospital is able to provide patients of all ages with compassionate and comprehensive care, as it’s the only hospital in North Texas with a full-service adult and children’s hospital at the same location.

“Being ranked number one in Texas for cardiac surgery is a testament to Medical City Dallas’ continued commitment to top-quality care,” said Brad Bowman, chief medical officer and head of data science for Healthgrades. “Patients can feel confident knowing they have access to number one ranked care for cardiac surgery at Medical City Dallas and Medical City Heart Hospital.”
