‘Slave Dwelling Project’ Returns To Dallas Heritage Village

The Slave Dwelling Project, which seeks to raise awareness and resources to promote education about and preservation of slave dwellings, is returning to North Texas for the third year.

Joseph McGill and the SDP Living History troupe will make their third visit to Dallas Heritage Village May 27, where they will the stories of the enslaved African Americans at Millermore & the Gano Farmstead, now located at Dallas Heritage Village. 

Based in South Carolina, The Slave Dwelling Project’s mission is to identify and assist property owners, government agencies, and organizations to preserve extant slave dwellings.
