Friends Of Katy Trail Spring Support Campaign Running Through May
Friends of the Katy Trail’s annual spring support campaign is running until the end of May.
The campaign is the trail’s annual fundraiser to fund Katy Trail operations.
“The Katy Trail provides tremendous wellness and economic benefits to Dallas and is one of the city’s most important public spaces and destinations,” said honorary campaign chair Lizzie Routman. “Because the Trail is community-funded, Dan and I hope that many in our community will give to the 2022 Spring Support Campaign.”
“Katy Trail usage increased 26% in early 2022 over early 2021. While we are delighted that so many experience the joy of time on the Katy Trail, this takes a toll on Trail upkeep and has directly increased operational expenses, including landscape maintenance, security, lights, signs, and water for people and pets,” the 2022 spring support campaign letter read.
