Football Stars Honored at NFF Banquet

Athletes from the Park Cities and Preston Hollow were among the honorees at a banquet hosted by the National Football Foundation Gridiron Club of Dallas Chapter on Sunday.

High school football players receiving the distinction included Jack Curtis (Highland Park), Lucas Hernandez (Jesuit), Carter Hogg (ESD), John Popoca (Thomas Jefferson), Carter Sido (Hillcrest), and Johnathon Ware (W.T. White).

The NFF recognized six collegiate scholar-athletes and 62 high school scholar-athletes from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, plus issued a handful of special awards. The high school candidates were selected based on their athletic accomplishments, academic performance, and leadership in the community.
