HP Sweeps Team Titles at Mesquite Meet
Highland Park brought home team titles in both the boys and girls varsity divisions at the Charles Qualls Relays on March 10 in Mesquite.
Individual event winners for the Lady Scots included Savannah Hinze (100 hurdles and 300 hurdles), Ellie Preston (800 and 1,600), Sara Cavey (3,200), Hattie Speicher (long jump), Cate Hale (high jump), Mason Prather (discus), and Ailey Fidler (pole vault).
On the boys side, HP gold medalists were John Rutledge (200), Carter Moreland (400), Ray Saalfield (800), William Jaudes (3,200), Luke Herring (300 hurdles), and Catcher Murphy (pole vault).
Next up, both HP squads will compete at the Garland ISD Relays on March 24, and selected athletes will head to the Texas Relays in Austin the following day.
