Scots Reach Milestone at State Duals
An impressive showing against some of the state’s top programs helped Highland Park wrestlers make history on Saturday.
The Scots placed fifth with a 3-1 record at the Texas High School Wrestling Coaches Association State Duals in Prosper. That gave HP a program record 35 dual victories this season.
The Scots (35-6) defeated Amarillo, Frisco Centennial, and Prosper Rock Hill. Five HP wrestlers were unbeaten for the day — Cooper Chapman, Carter Baumgartner, Noah Morse, Matthew Winford, and Cormac Carroll.
Next up, HP will travel to Lovejoy for its final dual meet of the season on Wednesday, then will compete in the District 9-5A tournament on Feb. 2-3 at Wylie East.
