Hudson Paces Lady Scots in Denton Meet
Running against some of the top Class 6A programs in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Highland Park placed fourth in the team standings at the Marcus Invitational on Saturday at North Lakes Park in Denton.
In the elite varsity division, the Lady Scots were led by Charlotte Hudson’s eighth-place finish in a time of 19 minutes, 10 seconds for 5 kilometers. Sara Cavey, Alli Grace Ott, and Ellie Preston also were in the top 30 individually.
In the boys elite varsity division, HP came in 12th in the team standings. Jeffrey Tubbs-Jimenez crossed the line in 32nd place to pace the Scots.
Next up, the HP girls will compete at the Boyd Bronco Stampede on Sept. 11 at Myers Park in McKinney. The boys will travel to the Cedar Park Invitational.
