Creating and writing a fiction suspense thriller series is an incredible task, and Dallas businesswoman and entrepreneur Elizabeth Jeffett has done that with great skill.
The Alex Sheridan Thriller series, which begins with her first title, Silent Partners, followed by recently released Crude Intent, an Alex Sheridan Thriller has captivated readers.
The page-turning novels — published by Defiance Press — star dynamic entrepreneur Alex Sheridan, who is the brainchild of Jeffett, a woman who has had success in professional sports, event management as well as real estate and oil and gas. From personal experience, she created the heroine, who faces daunting obstacles and unrelenting enemies determined to exact revenge.
When asked about how the series came about, Jeffett explains that “meeting the great women of Dallas, like Ebby Halliday and Mary Kay as a young girl was inspirational, and because my mother, Nancy Jeffett, was one of the outstanding trailblazers in professional women’s tennis, I knew Billie Jean King and many other champions. These women were such an integral part of my life and led me to create this character.”
Jeffett, who is still involved with professional tennis, serves on the board of the International Tennis Hall of Fame and as a trustee of the Maureen Connolly Brinker Tennis Foundation, a non-profit that her mother built into a global force in tennis. Jeffett, a graduate of the Hockaday School and SMU, lives and works in Dallas and is the mother of two.
