Ingram Helps Team USA Claim U19 Title

St. Mark’s graduate Harrison Ingram helped the United States win a gold medal on Monday at the FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup tournament in Latvia.

Ingram, who was one of the top recruits in the country last season, will be a freshman this fall at Stanford. His college coach, Jerod Haase, was among the assistants for Team USA.

The American squad went a perfect 7-0 in the tournament, including an 83-81 victory over France in the championship game. Ingram averaged 4.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game off the bench for the team consisting mostly of standout college freshmen and recent high school graduates.

Ingram led the Lions to an SPC championship as a junior in 2020, and earned prestigious McDonald’s All-American honors during his senior year.
