SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: TONGUE-LASHING?

Surely this is a typo. “K” and “L” are beside each other on the keyboard. Before 5:28 p.m. Nov. 7, a burglar “licked” in the rear door of a home in the 5100 block of Boca Raton Drive and stole property.

3 Tuesday

Online records don’t include the reporting time for thefts from a Wylie woman at Edgemere on Thackery Street nor vandalism at a home in the 6200 block of Bandera Avenue, nor three thefts in the parking lot at NorthPark Center.

Before 12:51 p.m., a 67-year-old Desoto woman had an unpleasant discovery at the Tom Thumb at Inwood Road and University Boulevard: damage to her vehicle. The reckless and irresponsible motorist who did it fled.

4 Wednesday

Reported at 8:08 a.m.: a hit-and-run wreck damaged a 25-year-old Plano woman’s vehicle in the 13100 block of Inwood Road and left her wondering where the other motorist went.

Stolen overnight before 9:11 a.m.: a 48-year-old man’s vehicle from his home in the 5600 block of Meadow Crest Drive.

Arrested at 1:07 p.m.: a 46-year-old man accused of driving while intoxicated into a parked vehicle in the 5800 block of Over Downs Drive.

5 Thursday

Stolen overnight before 10:32 a.m.: a vehicle parked in the 11400 block of North Central Expressway.

Online reports did not include a reporting time for thefts from two men (ages also not provided) at homes in the 12700 block of Preston Road and the 7100 block of Briarmeadow Drive.

The shoplifters haul before 1:12 p.m. from Shinola Detroit at NorthPark Center: $550 in merchandise.

Burglarized before 2:30 p.m.: a 39-year-old Plano woman’s vehicle at Preston Forest Square.

Arrested at 4:02 p.m.: a 23-year-old man accused of shoplifting from Zara at NorthPark Center.

6 Friday

Before 5:35 p.m., a vandal used a rock to break the window of a 62-year-old man’s vehicle at home in the 11600 block of High Forest Drive.

Damaged before 7:29 p.m.: the door lock of a 39-year-old man’s vehicle in the parking lot of the Midtown Office Center on LBJ Freeway near Montfort Drive.

7 Saturday

Stolen overnight before 5:05 a.m.: a vehicle at a home in the 7200 block of Lane Park Drive.

How did the burglar get into a 41-year-old man’s home in the 7100 block of Lakehurst Avenue before 10:27 a.m.? A window was unlocked.

8 Sunday

Arrested at 12:55 a.m.: a 23-year-old man accused of driving while intoxicated in the 6900 block of Forest Lane.

Before 8:32 a.m., a ne’er do well who belongs on Santa’s 2020 naughty list didn’t stick around to take responsibility after damaging a 37-year-old man’s and a 55-year-old woman’s vehicles at apartments in the 12800 block of Noel Road.
