Repercussions from the COVID-19 pandemic have forced Highland Park to once again get creative with its volleyball schedule.
With both of its scheduled District 13-5A opponents in quarantine this week, the Lady Scots added a nondistrict match at Plano West for Tuesday. The league slate resumes for HP on Saturday with a home match against Mesquite Poteet.
A few weeks ago, the Lady Scots (6-5, 5-0) had to postpone their first two 13-5A matches for precautionary health reasons. Those contests have since been made up, but other postponements against Royse City and North Forney still must be reset.
At any rate, all of the schedule shuffling hasn’t had a negative on-court impact thus far for HP, which hasn’t dropped a set during its current five-match winning streak.
