Downing, Tran Lead Lady Scots to Title
Highland Park came back with a team championship from its first optional meet of the season on Thursday in Garland.
Kennedy Downing won individual event titles on floor exercise and balance beam, and tied for second in the all-around standings with teammate Linda Tran. Downing also took bronze medals on vault and uneven bars.
Meanwhile, Tran won silver on bars and floor, and came in third on beam. Carly Hart was second on vault. The Lady Scots will return to action on Jan. 23 in Saginaw.
