SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: SUNDAY SPECIALS
You may not be able to buy cars on Sunday, but that doesn’t mean you can’t steal them. Before 10:44 a.m. Nov. 10, a thief in a stolen car damaged property at a home in the 4700 of Royal Lane and fled. Before 11:15 a.m., it wasn’t enough to take cars from the 10500 block of Lennox Lane; the crooks had to damage them also. And stolen before 7:28 p.m.: a vehicle at NorthPark Center.
4 Monday
Police did not provide the reporting time for a theft at a store in the 5100 block of Lovers Lane.
Arrested at 11:10 a.m.: a 25-year-old man accused of shoplifting from Lids at NorthPark Center. Police said he lied about his identity, but they matched him to an outstanding Dallas County Sheriff’s Department warrant anyway.
Stolen before 8:57 pm.: an Irving man’s vehicle at NorthPark Center.
5 Tuesday
Police did not provide the reporting time for a theft from a University Park woman’s vehicle at Preston Center.
Before 12:08 p.m., a shoplifter targeted the Target store at Preston Center.
Found at 12:42 p.m.: a blue purse hiding in the bushes in landscaping in the 11400 block of Jamestown Road.
Ouch! Before 12:53 p.m., a Dallas man got bit in the arm by a dog at Netherland Park.
6 Wednesday
Police did not provide reporting times for an assault on a Dallas woman at the Neighborhood Services restaurant and bar on Lovers Lane and a theft from a Nordstrom employee at NorthPark Center.
Before 7:18 a.m., a thief took the tailgate off an Enterprise Rent-A-Car pickup in the 6500 block of Del Norte Lane.
Before 10:21 a.m., a burglar smashed a window and stole from a University Park woman’s vehicle at Inwood Village.
Before 3:21 p.m., a burglar smashed a window to enter and steal from a home in the 5800 block of Norway Road.
Arrested at 3:23 p.m.: a man accused of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center. His age was not provided.
Taken before 6:08 p.m.: Home Depot property from the parking area near Lucy’s Tailor at Preston Royal Village.
Before 7:24 p.m., a burglar kicked open a door at a home in the 10700 block of St. Lazare Drive and left with property.
Reported at 8:39 p.m.: shoplifting at the Gap store in Inwood Village.
7 Thursday
Police did not provide reporting times for thefts at Preston Center and Preston Forest Village.
Before 9:32 a.m., one or more burglars broke into the Woodlands American Grill in the Market at Preston Forest and left with cash.
Reported at 9:27 a.m.: A voice mail left for a 28-year-old Plano woman while at a home in the 6800 block of Bandera Avenue on Nov. 6 included a death threat.
Reported at 9:41 a.m.: a burglar on Nov. 4 smashed a window and stole from a vehicle at St. Mark’s School of Texas on Preston Road.
Burglarized before 3:20 p.m.: a Collin Street Bakery vehicle at the Cooper Fitness Center on Preston Road.
Reported at 3:39 p.m.: a would-be burglar couldn’t get into a home in the 5200 block of Kelsey Road on Nov. 6 but did plenty of damaging trying to with a pry tool.
Stolen before 7:20 p.m.: a Farmers Branch man’s vehicle at NorthPark Center.
Before 7:54 p.m., a shoplifter took merchandise from the Gap store at Inwood Village.
8 Friday
Burglarized before 9:01 a.m.: a home in the 10600 block of Park Preston Drive.
Arrested at 2:51 p.m.: a 27-year-old woman accused of shoplifting from Victoria’s Secret at NorthPark Center. She was told to never return.
Be careful in the dressing room. A 61-year-old woman’s property was taken from one before 6:13 p.m. at NorthPark Center.
9 Saturday
Before 4:03 p.m., someone pushed a 19-year-old Lewisville man at a home in the 5300 block of Meaders Lane.
Reported at 5:13 p.m., a predator took money from the account of a 89-year-old woman from the 6300 block of West Northwest Highway.
Not the best way to avoid buying something at NorthPark Center: A 38-year-old man left his wallet behind in his vehicle, but a thief took it before 5:49 p.m. and used the credit cards.
Before 11:10 p.m., a reckless and irresponsible driver fled after striking an Arkansas woman’s vehicle at NorthPark Center.
