SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: QUICK WORK
At 11:46 p.m. Oct. 27, police recovered a vehicle stolen from the 5000 block of Shadywood Lane before it was reported stolen.
21 Monday
Before 5:54 p.m., a burglar took property out of a 19-year-old woman’s vehicle at NorthPark Center.
22 Tuesday
Before 12:53 a.m., a burglar took property out of a storage unit at apartments in the 6100 block of Bandera Avenue.
Reported at 1:10 a.m.: a luxurious hit-and-run collision. The driver of a black Porsche drove off after hitting a Lexus IS 250 in the Inwood Village parking lot on Oct. 21.
Before 2:31 a.m., a thief took a 48-year-old Plano man’s vehicle from The Plaza at Edgemere parking lot at Edgemere Road and Northwest Highway.
Reported at 2:56 p.m.: the Oct. 21 burglary of a 77-year-old Plano woman’s vehicle in the 4700 block of Kelsey Road.
Before 8:31 p.m., an inconsiderate man fled the NorthPark Center parking lot after hitting a 69-year-old woman’s vehicle.
No groceries? At 8:45 p.m., an unwelcome visitor left Central Market at Northwest Highway and Midway Road with a criminal trespassing warning.
Reported at 11:31 p.m.: the Oct. 21 theft of a vehicle in the 5200 block of Deloache Avenue.
23 Wednesday
Stolen before 11:51 a.m.: a 52-year-old Garland man’s vehicle in the 6200 block of Stichter Avenue.
Before 1:38 p.m. in the 5600 block of Walnut Hill Lane, a bully struck a 25-year-old woman in the face, causing pain and swelling.
Reported at 6:37 p.m.: On Oct. 21, a burglar forcefully entered a home in the 6000 block of Burgundy Avenue and left with property.
24 Thursday
Police did not provide the reporting time for a theft in the parking lot at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd on Midway Road.
Before 5:33 p.m., a 63-year-old man received a threatening phone call at his home in the 6000 block of Park Lane.
25 Friday
At 12:14 a.m., officers issued a criminal trespassing warning to an unwelcome visitor to the Hillcrest Crossing retail and office center at Hillcrest Avenue and Northwest Highway.
What’s the hurry? Reported at 1:01 p.m.: the Oct. 21 theft of a vehicle in the 10500 block of Berry Knoll Drive.
26 Saturday
Before 12:07 a.m., a thief stole from a 19-year-old Garland man’s vehicle in the Celebration restaurant parking lot on Lovers Lane.
Arrested at 8:45 a.m.: a 55-year-old man accused of stealing from a Flower Mound woman’s vehicle at NorthPark Center.
Reported at 3:10 p.m.: the Oct. 25 burglary of a 24-year-old Farmers Branch woman’s vehicle in the 5100 block of Stanford Avenue.
Reported at 6:59 p.m.: a vandal did $3,000 in damage on Oct. 25 to a Utah man’s vehicle in the 10700 block of Midway road.
Arrested at 7:56 p.m. in the 10200 block of Inwood Road: a 30-year-old man with an outstanding warrant out of Denton County.
Arrested at 11:16 p.m.: a 19-year-old man accused of driving under the influence in the 6000 block of LBJ Freeway.
27 Sunday
Before 5:22 a.m., a burglar attempted to enter a home in the 6000 block of Mimosa Lane.
Before 7:48 a.m., a burglar forcefully entered the Tyler’s sportswear store on Lovers Lane and left with merchandise.
Before 7:19 p.m., a burglar stole from an apartment in the 3900 block of Northwest Highway.
Stolen before 11:51 p.m.: a vehicle from a home in the 5600 block of Southwestern Boulevard, a busy street for crooks overnight. Reported the next morning: the theft of a vehicle in the 5700 block and the burglary of a vehicle in the 5600 block.
