New Business Emphasizes Recycling, Repurposing
A Dallas woman has founded a group focusing on selling recycled resin.
Angela Seaman, of Preston Hollow, has created Seaman Group Plastics, which supports supply chain diversity through selling virgin and recycled resin and purchasing plastic scrap for sustainability initiatives.
The company provides recycling and repurposed material options serving markets in agriculture, automotive, construction, consumer packaged goods, electronics, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and oil and gas.
SGP is a woman-owned plastics distribution and recycling company backed by decades of experience in the industry, and is an environmentally conscientious solutions provider in a well-connected marketplace, providing technical knowledge in front-end plastic polymer sourcing as well as back-end recycling of resin scrap.
The company is a newly certified Woman Business Enterprise (WBE), Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Historically Underutilized Business (HUB).
“Studies have shown that companies who are inclusive in strategic sourcing with diverse suppliers obtain more innovation, competitive pricing, and develop deeper customer loyalty,” Seaman said. “Many companies are setting procurement goals for their contracts to be awarded to women-owned businesses. Seaman Group Plastics gives our business partners a competitive advantage in their sourcing, salvage and recycling process and provides success in sustainability.”
Most Fortune 1000 companies have supplier diversity programs, and actively seek to do business with agile-diverse businesses that have the experience and capacity to meet their business objectives, according to Seaman. SGP utilizes technical innovation in every step of our material handling process.
A graduate of Baylor University with a degree in entrepreneurship, Seaman has a history in the public and private business sector, as well as with non-profit organizations. By serving on more than a dozen charitable boards over the past decade, she has driven major growth and strategic initiatives that resulted in millions of dollars in revenue and donations.
