Northaven Trail Extension Unveiling Yet to Be Rescheduled

Saturday’s weather in Dallas could not have been worse for a trail run.

An extension to Preston Hollow’s Northaven Trail has been in the works, and a ribbon cutting to announce the completion of Phase 2B – 2C was scheduled on May 18. The extension includes a bridge that goes over Joe’s Creek near Cox Lane Park.

The ribbon cutting was ultimately cancelled due to a day-long thunderstorm that covered most of Dallas, but the following Sunday and Monday saw sunlight, and residents flocked to the trail.

A new date for the ribbon cutting has not been announced, but the trail is open to the public.
