Anna Kathryn “Kate” Hegi
Anna Kathryn “Kate” Hegi is the daughter of Amy Davis Hegi and Peter Braxton Hegi of Highland Park. She is the granddaughter of Jan Vestal Hegi and Frederick Benhardt and Mary Long Davis and T. Weldon Davis. Her sister, Mary Allison is a sophomore at Highland Park High School and her sister Lila is a fourth grader at Bradfield.
Kate graduated from Highland Park High School in 2018. She received the Math Award her freshman year. She was a peer tutor her junior and senior years where she helped tutor students with special needs. She founded and was president of the Interfaith Family Services Club. Kate was a member of 65 Roses Club where she served as vice-president her senior year. She is a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church. She attended Camp Longhorn for eight years.
Kate will spend the summer interning with a psychology practice in Dallas and expanding her experience in her field of study. She looks forward to spending a semester abroad while at SMU and broadening her experience in the field of psychology.
