HP Wrestlers Set to Host Meets
As the wrestling season reaches the home stretch, Highland Park will roll out the mat at home for the first time this season when the Scots host a pair of events this weekend.
The District Duals meet on Friday will include wrestlers from Carrollton Creekview, Carrollton Newman Smith, and Wylie East. The annual Scot Super Quad tournament is slated for Saturday.
In their most recent outing, HP fell to Canyon Randall in the finals of the Texas High School Wrestling Coaches Association Dual State Tournament in El Paso. The Scots defeated Dripping Springs, Carrollton R.L. Turner, and El Paso Del Valle to reach the championship match.
The Scots have two more home meets on the schedule, including the HP Duals on Jan. 26 and a dual meet against Rockwall on Jan. 31. Then comes the District 9-5A tournament on Feb. 7 in Princeton.
