Burgers And Burgundy Celebrates Ten Years

The Joule Hotel will host the tenth annual Burgers & Burgundy event, presented by Celebrity Chef John Tesar and Terri Provencal, benefiting DIFFA/Dallas (The Dallas Chapter of Design Industry Foundation Fighting AIDS) at the Eye at The Joule on Friday, Oct. 5.

Funds raised from the event will go towards DIFFA/Dallas’ mission of serving those who are affected by HIV/AIDS across North Texas.

This year’s event chair, Mohammad Jaber, is joined by Brian Loving and Southwest Funding LP, long-time supporters and co-hosts of the event.

“I am looking forward to celebrating Burgers & Burgundy’s 10th annual event by creating a memorable top-notch culinary experience which our guests have grown accustomed to from DIFFA,” said Jaber, of DIFFA/Dallas.

The burger and wine pairings will be prepared by Chef John Tesar and renowned national and local chefs.

The chefs have been tasked with the challenge to serve up the best burger sliders and complement them with the wine of their choice. Wine, beer, champagne by Impeccable Brut Rosé and specialty cocktails will also be available.

The chefs participating in this year’s event include:

  • John Tesar (Knife, Knife Burger)
  • Justin Brunson (Celebrity Chef, Old Major; Denver, CO)
  • Kris Morningstar (Celebrity Chef, Morningstar Gastronomy; Los Angeles, CA)
  • Chris “CJ” Jacobson (Celebrity Chef, ĒMA; Chicago, IL)
  • Sharon Van Meter (Taco y Vino)
  • Blaine Staniford (Grace)
  • Nick Walker (CBD Provisions)
  • Coner Seargeant (Wheelhouse)
  • Mat Urban (Commissary)
  • Rodman Shields (Common Table)
  • Bruno Davaillon (Bullion)
  • Mariel Street (Liberty Burger)

“I created Burgers & Burgundy ten years ago as a way for me to raise money for DIFFA/Dallas when I was on the Style Council,” said Tesar. “It’s been exciting to see the event grow each year, and I’m thrilled to have such renowned local and national chefs come together for the tenth anniversary of Burgers & Burgundy, to support such an important cause.”

The night will also include the reveal of the DIFFA/Dallas 2018-2019 Style Council Ambassadors and this season’s House of DIFFA theme.

Tickets for Burgers & Burgundy are $150 per person and are limited due to venue capacity constraints.
