Blue Wave Starts Fast at Season Opener
Highland Park used depth and experience to glide past the competition during a recent season-opening sprint meet at The Colony.
The Highland Park boys and girls each splashed their way to team titles at the recent The Colony Sprint Invite meet to open the season.
Girls individual event winners included Katherine Huang (50 breaststroke) and Taylor Copeland (100 individual medley). HP also claimed titles in the 100 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay.
On the boys side, the Blue Wave was led by individual gold medalists Max Van Cauwelaert (50 backstroke), Robert Clarke (50 breaststroke), Ethan Nguyen (50 butterfly), and Peter Paulus (100 IM). HP also won all three relays.
