About the American Cancer Society
Since its’ inception in 1974, the Cattle Baron’s Ball has raised more than $77 million for the American Cancer Society (ACS). To date, the funds have supported ACS in a variety of ways:
• Provided more than 40,000 services to cancer patients in North Texas and connected patients with more than 64,000 different treatment options
• Gave 10,238 rides to and from treatment
• Provided funding to 47 Nobel Prize-winning scientists
• Volunteers visited more than 1,000 breast cancer patients
• Aided in enacting state and local smoke-free laws
