Wet Weather Hasn’t Slowed Down Scots

Twice this season, the Highland Park girls have tried to race at Myers Park in McKinney, on the same course as next month’s District 11-5A meet. And twice, they’ve been rained out, most recently at Saturday’s Lovejoy Fall Festival.
While that might be discouraging, the Lady Scots will head to Round Rock this weekend for another round of postseason preparation at the McNeil Invitational. Saturday’s meet will be at Old Settlers Park — the site of the Class 5A state meet in November.
The HP boys also will travel to Round Rock this weekend before wrapping up the regular season on Oct. 5 at the Jesuit Classic at Norbuck Park.
