Mosquito Spraying To Take Place This Weekend

The town of Highland Park will spray for mosquitos this weekend after the presence of West Nile Virus showed up in trapped mosquitos on the east side of town.

Spraying will take place Sept. 8 and 9 from Preston Road east to town limits (Mosquito Map 2018: quadrants C and D).

Weather permitting, the spraying will begin at 10 p.m. and conclude by 5 a.m.

Ground spraying measures will include the public right-of-way and the town’s tennis courts.

Town officials suggest for residents to remain inside and protect pets during the spraying. Any pet water dishes left outside should be cleaned after spraying.
