Thornton Worth Her Weight to Team USA
Alexandra Thornton, a junior at Highland Park High School, will represent the United States in weightlifting at the Youth Pan American Championships this summer in Colombia.
Thornton was named to Team USA based on her scores at the recent American Open Championships in California and the Junior National Championships.
The Pan American Championships, slated for June 3-10, will include athletes from more than two dozen countries in North America, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
